February 2018 Update

Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS/SEIS) and Venture Capital Trusts (VCT)

 Sunday, 11th February 2018

We have completed the latest upgrade to ATEB suitability on 11th February 2018.

Details of the enhancements can be found below, but some of the highlights are:

New EIS/SEIS/VCT Recommendations for Investments

Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS), Seed Enterprise Investment Schemes (SEIS) and Venture Capital Trusts (VCT) have been added as product types to the Investment Advice area. When recommended, new reasons and disadvantages options are available for selection. As with our current products, the relevant risk warnings will automatically appear at the end of the investment section in the report/template.

In addition, an ‘Income Tax Relief’ section has been added to the Plan Details tab with further supporting text found within the ‘Supplementary Documentation’, ‘Investment Strategy’ and ‘Investment Period’ sections.

The glossary of terms have been updated to include descriptions of these new products.

Upgraded Charges Table functionality for Investment & Retirement

Following feedback from our clients, we have implemented changes to the Investment and Retirement charges tables. Previously, every plan (whether 'New' or 'Existing') would require the completion of a corresponding charges table on selection of ‘Charges’ within Section Builder. Users now have the option to include the charges table for both existing and new plans or, new plans only; with each table distinctly separate in the final report.

On selection of an existing plan/product the ‘Initial Charge’ value fields have been removed from the table. The total aggregate charges (expressed in both percentage and cash amounts) will continue to appear on screen and in final reports.

In addition, the ‘Ad-hoc’ charges section will no longer draw through to a final report if no values have been entered.
